Back 2 School is just around the corner, and I just read about a school supply drive at In the Loop . School supplies will be collected for homeless Atlanta children at all Kroger locations in Fulton and Dekalb county from July 19th through August 4th. Mission Grounds Gourmet Coffee, one of the sponsors along with Kroger, the Children's Restoration Network, and WSB-TV, has promised that all profits from their coffee sales at Kroger during the drive will go towards buying school supplies.
They also mentioned that Mission Gourmet Coffee is a non-profit gourmet coffee seller, who provides aid to underprivileged children around the world.
Items that they need are:three-ring binders, pens and paper, glue, scissors, calculators, markers, notebook paper, spiral notebooks, rulers, dictionaries, and new bookbags.
I'm sure those kids will be really grateful once they receive all the supplies that everyone donated. I'm sure any donation would be greatly appreciated. Does anyone know of other events that can help local children, especially with school supplies?
