I saw on In the Loop that the Academy Theatre has two summer camps for kids. The first is an Improv Acting camp where kids ages 8-13 years or 14-18 years get a taste of acting through improvisation exercises, classes, and games. The camp is from July 14-July 19 with the final performance on the 19th at 11 a.m. The 8-13 year-olds' class is from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The 14-18 class is 12-3 p.m.The fee is $150.
The other camp is Fantasy Writing Camp for kids ages 8-13. This camps introduces the kids to tools and techniques of fantasy writers. This takes place from July 21-July 25 from 9a.m. to 1 p.m. and the fee is $150. The final performance is July 25 at 1p.m.
Bring your own lunch. Summer snacks will be provided.
This sounds like a good way to get kids out of the house and let them be creative. Does anyone know of any other theatre summer camps?
